Veronica G. Downing is the associate pastor of Open Door Outreach Ministries, which began in her hometown of Philadelphia, Pa. After moving to North Carolina, Veronica earned her Bachelor of Arts in History /Africana Studies at Elizabeth City State University in 2022 and her Master of Fine Arts in New Media Journalism at Full Sail University Online in 2024.

Veronica wants to see souls saved and understands the difficulty of maintaining a reflective faith walk amid today’s chaos. By taking a journalistic approach to devotion and worship, Veronica hopes her testimony will help new believers cut through today’s confusion and bring people closer to Christ.

Veronica lives a quiet life with her parents - her father, Dr. Bishop William Downing; her mother, Toni Downing; and her uncle, Ronald Dorsey. She also enjoys writing, listening to music, laughing, and spending time with friends.
